Same Smegma, Different Day

Ugh! This is driving me crazy and it's so gross! It seems like every other day I have an accumulation of smegma in the folds of my clit. This causes pain, irritation and swelling. Smegma accumulation is a natural occurrence. In normal women, they don't even realize it's happening. It builds up and sloughs off, just like any other skin cells.

Unfortunately for me and other women with vulvodynia and pudendal neuralgia, it can be extremely uncomfortable. Even worse is trying to get that smegma out of those folds. The stretching and pulling and rubbing only heighten the pain.

I went and saw my doctor about this matter a few weeks ago. I asked him what I could do about it. He said soak, use a squirt bottle or a hand-held shower head. I have a hand held shower head. When there's something really lodged in there, naturally my shower head fails.

I was hoping he would tell me something useful! Something I hadn't already tried. Even doctors don't have all the answers...

I am really looking forward to the season change. The summer heat has obviously exacerbated this rather indelicate problem to the Nth degree. Cooler weather means no steamed clam. I can't wait!

I had the worst case of it last week, thanks to a raging yeast infection.

I totally thought of you while I was digging my clit free, crying like a baby.

I bet you're thrilled to know that.

But I was just glad to have a sister in the smeg.

So Ladies, I wanna comment but where? I have suffered from Vulvodynia for over 2 years now. I am 23. I am bitter and full of rage. i am also full of hope and strength. i am currently embarking on a career in horticultural therapy. i swear to whatever god is there that i am going to spend the rest of my life trying to help women cope and maybe even cure this disease. Women! Friends! Can we reach out to one another and help each other! They say 15% of woman have this condition! we need to have more discussions about it why isn't there a vulvodynia race or or walk like all the other diseases get! People tell me! where can we start! I need to be empowered just as all the women drying up their tears as they read this by randomly googling. Tell me women!SISTERS HOW CAN WE HELP ONE ANOTHER!! HOW CAN WE HELP one ANOTHER!!

Smegma, huh? I have never had a word for that gunk. Mmh, other than "gunk." And yes, it f'ing HURTS to remove it.

I've had this problem since 1990( at age 37). 20 years later, I still can't wear anything but stretchy loose pants-Yes it does help, but boy, what I'd give to be able to wear a pair of jeans. I've tried everything from nerve blocks to antidepressents--nothing seemed to help--Wearing loosely fitting pants for a period of about 10 years has eased the condition--but I've tried numerous times to wear jeans, and it just isn't going to happen....

A few years ago I had itching in my pee hole opening, for lack of better term. It itched almost non stop, worse at night. It made sex impossible,. Aone day I decided to take a look. The entire opening was caked with white stuff. It appeared to go up into the ureatha, and thats where it came from.
I have since searched end lessly for an answer. I use littleto no soap there. Take hot baths. Read somewhere its related to diabetes?? So I cut sugars, alcohol etc. Which seemed to help but yet smegma was still there. If I don't remove it by scraping it out or away, I itch to the point of discomfort. No thongs for me or cute panties. Theyn only worsen the issue. Please if anyone has any answers, I would love to hear them!!
